Michael Kowalski A.P., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM) is a Florida licensed Acupuncture Physician and Founder of the Acupuncture & Holistic Health Center and the 5 Element Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. Michael earned his B.A. at Yale University and continued his studies in Worsley Five Element Acupuncture with Professor J. R. Worsley at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in England. After graduating he received a faculty appointment and began his private practice in the College’s Faculty Clinic. Michael and his family moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1988, where he continues his private practice. In 2017 Michael also provided acupuncture in Mayo Clinic Jacksonville’s Breast Center, in their Pilot Integrative Medicine program.

Michael Kowalski’s academic experience includes serving as President, Dean of Acupuncture, and acupuncture faculty at Florida acupuncture schools. Michael is Founder/Director of the 5 Element Institute in Jacksonville, a Florida Board of Acupuncture licensed provider of continuing education courses. Michael trains acupuncturists to specialize in evidence-based acupuncture, including pain management acupuncture and oncology acupuncture. The mission of the 5 Element Institute is to build an inter-professional bridge between the acupuncture profession and conventional medical communities, through research, treatment, and educational programs, with the object of encouraging collaborative and integrative clinical practices that can enhance the patient experience, improve health outcomes, and lower healthcare costs.
