Managing Stress With Acupuncture

Stress is a physical, mental and emotional response to perceived threats or demands. While some stress can be motivating, chronic stress can have detrimental effects on both physical and mental health. Managing stress is essential for overall well-being. Techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, exercise, and hobbies can help reduce stress levels. But what happens when the stress becomes too much, or takes up too much of your life?
Chronic stress can be just as damaging to your system long term as any illness, with many distinct side effects. Symptoms such as weight loss or gain, hair loss, changes in appetite, anxiety, hormone fluctuation, and sudden/new behavioral shifts are all signs of stress.
Stress is no joke. But what can be done to release your stress, and change how you deal with stressful situations? What can be done to bring your system back to a regular, peaceful state of balance?
